The sweetest of dreams...

Good evening my Happy clan and a very happy Friday to you all!  I hope everyone had a great day!  Mine was wonderful - even though I was extremely busy and got pulled over on my way home from work.  But, I just got a warning because all I was doing was holding my phone while driving and I got to spend a little bit of time with my boys.  I am so very tired though so for today's Happy we're going to just get straight to the point.

Tonight I'm sending you off to sleep with a prayer from me to you.  I know I've done a few posts like this one before, but there's something quite comforting knowing that someone out there is thinking of you and saying a little prayer for you too.  And I do keep you all in my prayers every night, so sometimes I just like to share it out loud.  So, without further ado, I give you your Friday Happy!

Dear God,
Please keep my family,
friends and loved ones safe.
Please watch over them always,
and let good health, happiness
and blessings befall them!
Amen!!

I wish you all the sweetest of dreams tonight (and always)!  Sleep well and until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

I never met a sunset I did not like...

Happy Wacky Wednesday my Happy clan!  How was everyone's day?  Mine was so super busy yet so super wonderful!  I had lots to do but I got pretty much everything done and I got to spend the late afternoon into evening celebrating my BFF/sister's (the Lizard Queen) Birthday with my bestie and my sis-in-law and Johnny as well as my sister's kids were there too!  It really was so awesome and it's been 2 years since I've been able to celebrate with her so that was even cooler!!

This is why you're Wacky Task is coming to you so late today, but it's a great one!! But first, as always, let's recap last week's task.  How'd you all do getting away from your electronics to enjoy actual life for a bit?  My week was fab!  We had a lot of outdoor activities, we had a movie night and we had some great conversations!!  This is definitely something we'll be continuing doing from now on!  How about you?  What fun or interesting things happened while you put down your electronics?  I'd love to hear from all of you - so feel free to post in the comments :)

Now, let's get on to this week's Wacky Task.  This week it's not really wacky though, more breathtaking and awe-inspiring.  This week is Sunset Week!  For your task this week I want you to watch a sunset... Actually, I want you to watch at least 3 sunsets.  Watch more if you want and/or can, but watch at least 3.  And really enjoy them!!  Sunsets are an amazing piece of work that we get to enjoy almost every night (there's not much of a sunset when it's raining...)  So, go enjoy some purely beautiful sunsets and if you get pictures - share them with us!!!  In fact, I'll get you started.  Here are a few sunset pictures taken (and if edited) by me!

I hope you all enjoy this week's task and I hope to see lots of pictures!!  Have yourself a fabulous evening, sweet dreams and until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Celebrate You!

Howdy my Happy clan!  I hope everyone had a great day yesterday!  Sorry my post is a day late, but it was Matty's birthday and I had lots to do to celebrate him!!  And as I was writing my message to him in his birthday card from me, it hit me what your Happy should be...

Why do we wait until our birthday to celebrate our life?  It shouldn't have to be our birthday before we can celebrate ourselves and the awesomeness that is us!!  Because we are awesome, every single one of us in our own special way.  We just seem to forget that too often so I'm going to help you remember!

Today's Happy is YOU!!!  That's right, you are your Happy!  And I want you to allow yourself to be as well!  Start realizing your self worth and don't let anyone ever make you think otherwise!  You really are absolutely amazing and worth a daily celebration!

Now, go out there and be happy and proud to be you and until later, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Think less and feel more!

Good evening my Happy clan!  Happy Saturday night to each and every one of you!  All of you who know me probably think today was a bad day for me because the Cubbies lost... Well, you're wrong!  Sure, I'm not happy they lost - but that's okay.  It happens.  And as I always do, I will cheer them on again next game and root, root, root for my boys!!

Today was quite the day though.  I had lots of tedious stuff to take care of this morning while Matt had to take care of his own list of tedious things.  Then, we had to go start cleaning our house so we can start prepping it to be painted so we can get it painted so we can clean it again so we can start moving things in... But we're on the right direction so how can it be anything but a positive!!  After that we came home to an incredible Italian Beef dinner my mother made followed by pudding she made as well.  It was so yummy!  Then, one of my sister's came over and we went to go see Jurassic World, which was phenomenal by the way.  If you're a fan of the original - you won't be disappointed :)  So as you can see, I had quite a wonderful day!

Sometimes I, myself, wonder how I can stay so happy even when so many opportunities for me to be upset show up.  I think it's because I choose not to dwell on those moments.  I do my fair share of venting, don't get me wrong, but that's where it usually ends - after my little rant.  It's actually a good idea to vent out your frustrations to your family and friends.  It helps to relieve built up pressure and tension in your body.  God gave us family and friends for a reason... to be there for one another when needed.  Sure, sometimes we're needed to take the extra ticket for that awesome concert at the coolest venue, but other times it's to be the ear on the other end that listens for however long we need to because our loved one is having a rough moment.

Whatever the reason is though - we're there for each other.  Usually, we're there for each other without even realizing it.  For instance, your best friend calls crying because her boyfriend just broke up with her.  Next thing you know, you're at the grocery store picking up two gallons of ice cream to bring over to you girl friend so you can chow out together as she cries to you.  Or your brother calls you on the side of the road because his car just died.  Next thing you know you're on the road en route to pick your brother up.  Or your grandma calls and somehow the conversation comes up that she's out of milk so she can't eat her cereal in the morning.  Next thing you know you're at her door with a gallon of milk that you just bought for her.  Why do you do these things?  Because of feelings.  Because we don't sit and analyze the situation - we follow our hearts and do what we know is best for those we love.

How cool would it be if we started doing things like that for everyone in the world?  You know, just started using our heart to guide us completely through this crazy life.  As Charlie Chaplin said, "We think too much and feel too little."  Well, let's change that.  Let's all start feeling more and thinking less.  Stop over thinking every situation in your life and start letting your heart take control.  It makes life so much easier to deal with and so much happier too!  So go out there and start following your heart more!  And until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Think Happy - Be Happy

Whenever anything's bothering me or I'm feeling unhappy I just try to think of nice things.  What kinds of things?  Well, lets see... Daffodils, green meadows, skies full of stars...

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into Springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bates
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad.
