A Happy in 3 Parts...

Good Morning my Happy clan and a very Happy Sunday to all of you!!  Since I've been so incredibly busy lately I fell a couple days behind on my Happy blog, which is already breaking one of my New Year's Resolutions, so today you are getting a 3-parter to get us all caught up on our Happies!  And to do this 3-parter correct, I am taking a lesson plan from Baz Luhrmann.

Baz created a trilogy of movies, called The Red Curtain Trilogy.  It wasn't a trilogy in the normal sense where each film related to one another, but instead each film has the same theme, a theatre motif that reappears throughout the entire film.  The 3 films are Strictly Ballroom, which focused on dance, Romeo & Juliet, which focused on poetry and language, and Moulin Rouge, which focused on songs and music.  Our 3-part Happy is going to follow a similar theatrical pattern - but with a Happy and Positive feeling!  I call it The Curtain Call Trilogy!  Why, may you ask, well because at the Curtain Call you stand in front of the audience and take your bow for the performance you just gave.  And that's what the point of these Happies are - to remind you how amazing you are and what a great performance you give each and every single day in this life!

Part 1 of The Curtain Call Trilogy is a Happy Dance!!!  It's a video that I'm sure most of you have seen before but so have I and I still smile every time I watch it - and I also always feel like getting up and dancing every time as well!  I want to get each of you moving with a Happy skip in your step and what better way than with a Happy Dance!!!

Now, go out there and have yourself a fantabulous day and until later... Keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Count your blessings!

Good Evening my Happy clan!  Today's Happy is coming to you quite late because I had a late evening at work - but duty called so I had to take care of things :)  I did have a fantastic day today, got a whole lot of stuff taken care of and I got to spend some time with my guys before heading off to work for a bit.

Now I'm finally home and I find myself sitting up staring at the TV just wishing I could fall asleep.  And of course, what pops in my head?  Why - only the best song to think of in moments like these.  In fact, as soon as I started humming it I knew that it should be our Happy tonight.  So, since it is late and I do need to get to sleep soon - I'll get right to the song for us all!  The song is "Count Your Blessings" sung by Bing Crosby:

From now on, when you find yourself lying awake in bed plagued by thoughts - think of this song and do as it says and I bet the next thing you'll be doing is waking up to start a brand new, beautiful day!!!

With that, I'm off to go count my blessings... Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

An Inspirational Happy

Happy Tuesday night my Happy clan!  How is everyone doing this fine evening?  Did you all have a wonderful day?  My day was very nice indeed!  I had a day off today and was able to get lots taken care of.  I cleaned, I did laundry, I went grocery shopping, I got dishes done and I got to spend some time with Johnny too!  He had his audition at school today for their spring musical and he kicked some major butt!  I didn't get to go in and watch, but I listened through the closed door and he truly gave it his all.  I was so incredibly proud of him!  Especially because he knows he might not get the lead (which, of course he wants) but he's still okay with a small role or a chorus part or if he doesn't get any of those he plans on helping with the set or with the band.  He already knows there's no such thing as a small role in a play and that also makes me so very proud!!

His amazingly positive attitude, his incredible belief in himself and his courage to try his hardest no matter what made me think even more about another phenomenal person who always lived her life this way.  A woman I was lucky enough to call my "2nd Mother", Patricia Rummer.  Today is her birthday and today I want to celebrate and remember her in a way she deserves to be remembered and celebrated - as one of the greatest advocators of positivity, happiness and love!!!  There's a poem that pops in my head whenever I think of this amazing woman, it's a poem written by Shel Silverstein called "Listen to the Mustn'ts" and it goes like this:

Listen to the mustn'ts child
Listen to the don'ts
Listen to the shouldn'ts
The impossibles, the wont's
Listen to the never haves
Then listen close to me...
Anything can happen child,
ANYTHING can be!!!

Mrs. Rummer was the type of person that never gave up, that listened to what people had to say but never let anyone persuade her to stop fighting for what she wanted or what she believed in and never cared about what anyone thought of her because she knew she was awesome and that's all that mattered!!!  She was a beacon of light to so many and such a strong leader of hope!  She was a fantastic mother who raised two amazing women, women that I'm lucky enough to not only call my best friends but that I also consider my sisters, she was an amazing wife who loved with all her heart and she was a friend that you could always rely on!  I am so very grateful I got to know her and not only love her but be loved back by her!!  So that's why tonight she is our Happy!

So, I want you all to take a lesson from Patricia Rummer and live your life to the fullest and do it with a big smile on your face!  Stop worrying about what other people think!  Stop letting negative remarks get you down!  Never give up no matter how tough the situation may seem!  When things get tough, do as Mrs. Rummer would and "just keep swimming"!!!

Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Keep fighting!

Happy Monday evening my Happy clan!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  Mine wasn't too bad.  I worked another long but productive day.  My guys had a great day and I got home just in time to sit down and have a warm dinner with them.  I love when we are all home and can sit at the table for dinner to talk about our days or just anything that comes to mind :)

My Johnny has an audition for his school musical tomorrow and he's quite nervous so I'm going to do a little practicing with him tonight and help him remember that he's awesome and no matter what, all that matters is he tried his best and will continue to always do so!  We've always taught him that you always keep fighting for what you believe and for what you want  and to always keep moving forward!!  Now, I have to remind him of that.  Just like I'm going to do for all of you... Surprise, that's your Happy!!!

We all have difficult moments in our life - some of these moments last much longer than others.  No matter what the moment is though, you must always keep fighting!  Keep moving forward!  Keep on believing!  You will conquer that mountain - as long as you keep at it!!!  There's a perfect song that goes along with this message which I want to share with you.  It's called "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten.

Wasn't that just the perfect song???  And I hope all of you start singing your fight song, loud and proud, and keep moving forward!!!  Everything will be okay in the end... If it's not okay, it's not the end!  Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Make every moment a positive one!

Good Evening my Happy Clan!  How was everyone's day?  I hope you all had a wonderfully happy day!  Mine was a busy day, I was at work for most of it.  But it was a good day at work, some good sales mixed in with some customer service issues that needed to get handled... Another typical day that is getting easier and easier to deal with.  The hard part is being away from my guys as much as I have to be right now.  That's why I try to spend as much time with them when we are together, and gosh do I love spending time with my guys!!  And I know that I'm going to be rewarded for my hard work and my absence at home soon, as long as I stay positive, keep my faith and keep working hard!!

It's pretty amazing how a little positivity and happiness can keep a day from turning sour on you.  Life is always throwing things your way - sometime they're good things, other times they're not even close.  It's how you deal with the situation that determines what will happen next.  If you keep a positive frame of mind, keep moving forward and just believe that everything will be okay and guess what, they will be.  Positive attitudes bring out positive outcomes.  So, today's Happy are just some awesome simple quotes to help you remember to always stay positive!

So, I want you all to end your evening on a positive note, go to bed with a smile on your face and wake up with a dance in your step!  Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!

Love leads the way...

Happy Jan. 2nd my Happy Clan!  How is everyone's new year turning out so far?  I hope fabulously!!  Mine has been great so far, I had a busy day at work today and definitely did not have enough time with my guys, but let's face it - even if I spent every second of the day with them I'd still want more!  It's so amazing loving them and being loved back!!

However, I would never have the love that I have if I didn't love myself first.  After all, how can you expect someone to love you if you can't even love yourself?  And how can you not love yourself???  You're awesome!!  That's something you should tell yourself daily - remind yourself you're awesome and tell yourself that you love you, it really makes such a huge difference.  I get mad at myself too sometimes ... But you are always worth being loved and it starts with you, always!!!  So for day #2, I want each and every one of you to tell yourself you love you - and continue doing this every single day!  Remember, if you want to soar in life you must learn to F.L.Y. (first love yourself)!!!!!!

Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!

Peace, Love and Happiness!
