I hope you all enjoyed your Holidays! It was a very odd Christmas and New Year for me - this is the first time in my life I wasn't celebrating it with my entire family. It was definitely an amazingly wonderful Christmas for the Powell household and I am so beyond blessed to have my boys! How they love me is just indescribable and I don't know what I'd do without them!! We had a very quiet and lazy celebration together for Christmas. We weren't able to do much but Johnny got a lot of cool new educational-type toys, games and models. It was pretty awesome seeing him get so excited about them :) My boys got me a couple new knick-knacks, both of them saying something about love, to add to my shelf (I'll take a picture and post it on one of my upcoming posts). For New Year's we just celebrated quietly together, well until midnight anyways ;) When the clock struck midnight I got a kiss from both my boys (and I got a picture to save the moment forever) and then we went outside and squawked on our squawkers while banging our pots and pans while yelling HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! It really was wonderful!
But I miss my family and friends... I love that I got to talk to pretty much everyone and I even "saw" most of you as well thanks to the technology available to us nowadays! My favorite was being included in the big family picture at my Mom's house, who cares if we are floating heads on a phone in my sister-in-law's hand, we were there!!!
Which brings me to today's Happy! So often we feel homesick or alone and we start missing people we love. It's easy to let the sadness of that feeling take over, but you can actually let that situation turn into a happy one! How? Let your heart be filled not only with the happiness that person (or people) make you feel but also with the happy memories of them that you will have forever!! And I hope you all know that I am with you in your hearts as well... All you have to do is think of me! Today's Happy is a promise from me to you that I will always be there to do everything I can to always make you happy! As the song states, you can count on me!!!
Count on Me

I hope you all enjoy the song and the rest of your weekend!!! Until tomorrow, keep smiling and spreading that love!!
Peace, Love and Happiness!
